so, in English, we are reading Pride, Prejudice, and Zombies.
and i have a problem with it. the story idea in and of it's self is awesome. having Elizabeth Bennett kick zombie ass is great. but, Jane Austin put VERY LITTLE research into the... well, everything.
He tells us that Elizabeth and her sisters trained in China with a Xiolin monk.(He spelled it with the stupid American spelling.... i think i might have spelt American wrong....i dono...-_-...) that in and of it's self is pretty cool. but Elizabeth uses a Katana, not a Wato and Japanese throwing stars. Problem? Major. she also practices in a Dojo( also Japanese) and fights against ninjas. Ninjas are not for combat, but for assasinations. ( To burst the happy bubble of Naruto fans out there. :D)
eye twitch
abd, by the way, a Xiolin Monk could probably kick the ass of any samurai or ninja any day, with every few exceptions. trust me, imma geek, who knows other, better geeks.
like, every thing combat that he uses in the book is of Japanese origin. eye twitch.
the Chinese do have a sword with a blade like that of a katane, but it does have variations, and is called a Wato(i don't know the chinese name for it....) if Elizabeth did use a sword, it would probably be that. XP.
Die, Jane Austin. you killed my japanese soul.
(i wish. i'm white.... but my soul is asian...)
